Capital Metro wants to build more trains.  In fact, they call their project, Project Connect.  We call it, Project Disconnected or is No Longer in Service!!!

When trains are built, bus service suffers!

A single trip from Great Hills Park And Ride departing at 4:56 pm becomes an all day affair.

Capital Metro cannot get the bus service right now, what makes you think they can make their bus service better?

Urban Rail is Mayor Shelly Lee Leffingwell’s pet projects along with banning plastic bags.

Don’t be shamed by Capital Metro, or the City of Austin.

Get the facts about Project Connect.

1.  Project Connect only wants to attract the choice riders.  Fact is the choice riders will not give up their cars. So it becomes an issue of subsidizing the haves and the expense of the have nots.


2. The proposed rail line will cost $1.4 billion dollars and this is an estimate according to the Austin American Statesman.

and that is just for the FIRST (9) MILES.  WOW, they sure got Houston beat on it’s colossal failure:


When Rail is built, the people suffer.

The goofy grinning like a jackass eating briars pathetic excuse for a Vice President himself was quoted.

The Department of Transportation won’t have a dime to go toward more than 112,000 projects happening around the country. Nearly 700,000 good jobs would be at risk. And some states are already slowing down projects because they’re anticipating this inaction.

Think about that for a second.

These states are putting American jobs on the line because they’re actually expecting their legislators to refuse to do their jobs.

It shouldn’t be that way, and you can play a role in changing it by making sure everyone knows what’s going on and what it means.”

What dumb Biden doesn’t realize is that THE STATES DICTATE HOW THE MONEY IS SPENT.

And they always have.

Otherwise, we would have a federal minimum drinking age of (21).  That’s a misnomer because Louisiana’s drinking age was (19) until 1995.  Because of directives from Tipper Gore, and Al Gore (Democrat of Tennessee) and Bob Dole (Republican of Kansas) passed a directive to halt federal transportation funding unless states raised the drinking age to (21) back in 1984.

Falling infrastructure is the result of RINO’s and Democrats so don’t blame this on Republicans, Joe!!!!

And you are saying what does this got to do with Project Connect?  Well, Capital Metro and the City Of Austin will have to ask the Federal Government for matching money for this project, and if calculations are right, over 40 percent when come from Federal dollars, 20 percent will come from city coffers and the remaining from state funds, sales tax, and fares.

And that is a number I am not sure of.

What we need today, is more buses.  Not BRT, and not Rail.

The 801 is a flop, that only benefited the AFL-CIO, SEIU, and contractors.
